In the midst of life’s journey I found myself in a dark wood, for the right path was lost. It is a hard thing to speak of, how wild, harsh and impenetrable that wood was, so that thinking of it recreates the fear. It is scarcely less bitter than death: but, in order to tell of the good that I found there, I must tell of the other things I saw there.

Dante Alighieri, The Divine Comedy, Inferno Canto 1

You can reach a point on the Christian journey where you find yourself thinking…

  • Is this all there is?
  • I’m trying so hard, but my faith isn’t like it used to be
  • I’m not sure I believe what I’m singing anymore

Tapestry is an oasis for people in such a “mid-faith crisis.” Most of us have suffered a deep disappointment in life: a failed business, a failed marriage, a child gone off the rails. Yet we have not become trapped in that pain, becoming defined by victimhood. Instead, we have persevered with God through it and come out the other end. Now we have a deep suspicion of easy answers and a deep awareness of God’s love for us.

If this sounds like you, come and join us on a Sunday morning or a small group.  We’d love to meet you, hear your story and share ours – no strings attached.  Or you can click Contact if you have any questions.

Tapestry is a CBOQ church with roots in the historic evangelical tradition.
